West Virginia Man is an independent publication launched in January 2026 by me, Willem P. Wijgerse.

I didn’t create this blog to make a fortune or become the next big "influencer." I created it for myself. Moving from the flat, concrete landscape of the Netherlands to the rugged, wooden hills of West Virginia has been quite the experience—to say the least. I just wanted a place to write it all down and share the journey with anyone curious enough to follow along.
