Hi, I’m the "West Virginia Man." In 2025, I moved across the world to start a new life here. Between the K1 Visa process, getting married, and buying a house, it’s been a wild ride—and I’m still navigating the move toward permanent residency.

I started this blog to answer the big question I get every day: What is it actually like for a foreigner in West Virginia? From the head-scratching cultural shifts to the hidden gems of the Appalachian lifestyle, I’ll be sharing my honest take on the differences between my old home and my new one.
